I'm so freakin' excited!!!!!

After four, long, arduous months sans velo (haven't got a clue how to get the thingimibob over the e via PC keyboard), I put a downpayment on a Gary Fisher Tassajara Disc today. YAY! Just what I was looking for: a hardtail with a lock-out fork for all the stop-start city riding, a nice set of discs for the fun stuff in the dirt, and in my price range too (just - I'm going to have to live like a nun for the next six or seven weeks, but it'll be worth it). Dealt with two guys at the shop, who were both great - nice sort of low-key helpfulness and niether tried to get me to spend more money than I had. The finance plan is really simple (done through the shop rather than a finance company) and affordable, plus I could put accessories into the plan too. Just have to get all the pieces of paper together for my finance and I can pick her up tomorrow.

Did I mention how freakin' excited I was?!?!? Been grinning like a fool most of the afternoon/evening.
