    Question rack thigh rub

I have never owned a rack like this before, so I don't know if this is typical. Trying to decide if I should return the product or not (or what else to try)...

I bought this seat post rack in this link...

    http://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?c...cat%3A%20Racks

It is a Delta Post Haste rack that is standard mount (one pic of it shows quick release, mine has permanent hardware).

Actually I wanted the rack to be a quick release, but read in some rack reviews that the clamp rubbed a user's thighs while pedaling. I can see how the clamp sticking out could do that, so I went with hardware in hopes of not having that issue.

Once attached, and just a short test spin, my thigh hits the mounting. I can try to remount it if someone has any tips, but it needs to be a certain height to not hit the tire.

Btw, on comparable suggestions, if any, I somehow paid about $27 for the rack and bag combo on sale. I didn't really need the bag, but it was the same price at the time as the rack alone.

    Thanks !
