Oh yes! I am trying to learn to drink and run but it is NOT easy! I'm still not doing any longer runs but I sweat so much and get dehydrated so easily that I'm definitely better off if I bring water, and also I'd like to get in the habit so that longer runs are an option for me in the future. Plus the water bottle carrier gives me a place to carry my phone, which I just don't feel safe without, especially when I'm running in a strange city (which seems like most of the time these days )

I have to take a mouthful of water, then hold it for three or four steps while I get the water in the proper place in my mouth, and my throat in the proper orientation, to swallow without choking The hardest part is breathing through my nose while I'm doing that.

Anyhow... hasn't been a good week for me running, or doing any kind of workout. Sunday I blew off because of the weather plus being a little sore from Saturday's ride. Monday I had a stomach virus plus it was a travel day (between the weather and the virus, we decided to take four wheels , at least we could stay home until I was in any shape to leave the house!).

Tuesday evening I got in a quick 3.25 - I was feeling really wrung out but knew I needed a little bit of SOMETHING. Our hotel was in a pretty crummy neighborhood to run, but I managed, and even though I just couldn't get my HR up, my pace wasn't too awful. Yesterday I blew off again - full day at the racetrack, plus travel and didn't get home til nearly midnight.

(accountability post) Thunderstorms in the forecast today, but I'll get a run in at some point. (if you're wondering why I'm on the computer right now, I am NOT a morning runner if I can help it - it just HURTS )
