Review: SHEBEEST Uptempo SPF 50+ Tee
This is the spiffiest SPF/UPF shirt I've ever worn. I mean, this is one very cool shirt (literally and fashionably). Mind you, I was a hippie child and spent formative years on a wannabee-commune, so I like tie-dye...

The fabric is great, silky-smooth and breathable, but not flimsy. The tag says SPF equivalent rating of 50+. Fried my bare hand outside, but not my SheBeest covered arm... so I guess that says something. As far as wicking goes, I was in a hot car in this shirt, but didn't feel sweaty or damp. Haven't gone on a ride in it yet. MWBR.
Colors are very exciting. For all that they are wild, they are actually very tasteful. I feel comfortable about the idea of wearing this to work. The center solid red panel has one of those nice optical illusion effects, making my pudge-belly kind of fade away and giving me more of a shapely waist than I *know* I actually have.
The v-neck is feminine without exposing too much skin to sunburn. I'm pretty impressed with the design of the whole shirt, actually. It's hard to make a sun-blocking shirt look sexy or fun, but SheBeest managed. And looking at it, one's first thought is NOT "ooh, that's a sun shirt," like when looking at my beloved Kokotat sun shirt.
Fit is perfect. I have a Large, which I tend to be in most brands. The sleeves are actually long enough (miracle!) and the torso is just the right length to look good as everyday wear, and to cover the small of your back on the bike. The bottom hem has a bit of a band finish (like bias tape) but no elastic. The sleeves and neck are finished with the same tape. The sleeves are not gathered at the wrist, they are open. (not floppy, just open)
Made in USA.
Edit to add: just got back from a short errand ride. Hot and sweaty and sunny. The Uptempo shirt handled it well and wicked just fine.
