Went to the forest, plodded up a hilly, muddy trail and some more on road - it was great. I did much better on it than about a year ago when I tried it last. Maybe I was slower. Who knows. But it hurt less.

Then I got to this chip trail (that's a manmade trail filled with wood chips). I decided to do one lap barefoot. Eek that hurt. I ended up having to walk. They are usually made with sawdust but of course chips mean less maintenance. I tried this for my foot muscles. Maybe I'll have to do it in some sort of beach socks.

then 2 more laps in shoes.

NEway, 35 minutes or so. See if I don't survive this.
