Since I haven't had the orthotics in for a month, the tenderness is gone now and I couldn't feel any pressure when I did a short test run. If that doesn't work, I have/had a solution that kind of works for me. I was fit for mens running shoes that are extra wide. I lace them loose near my forefoot and tighter up near my ankle. Of course my orthotics are cut to fit that style of shoe...the only thing that's bad is once your foot is corrected (ie going straight, at least for me) the joint flexes going straight. I don't think it wants to do that especially but for me the only alternative is surgery. I don't want that at this point in my life.
