It was a great day to be on my bike - logged 75.93 miles today, rode without all the warm clothing and soaked in the sunshine (I hope it hangs around for a few days).
Oh man, I'm never gonna catch you on Bike Journal!
I rode a little over 61.28 miles today, on a CAT2 AIDS/Lifecycle Training Ride. Weather-wise, we had a little bit of everything today: sun, overcast, rain, wind. OK, no snow, so I guess I can't whine too much.
Highlights of the ride: the route sheet made special mention of a steep descent (and they weren't lyin'!), but absolutely no mention of the nice little ascent to get to the top of the hill for the steep descent. The ascent reminded me a lot of housing prices in the Bay Area: it would go up pretty high, flatten out for a bit, then go up pretty high, flatten out ... rinse, repeat. Hopefully the steep descent won't be a metaphor for a housing bubble burst, what with the subprimes and all.
Here's the elevation profile for the ride, as you can see, we had a whole lotta fun between miles 25 and 35!
