We went to Sears last night and the one and only cordless stick vac they had in stock was the Eureka Quick-up which has gotten good reviews elsewhere. We bought figuring it that expensive as a test and it has a brush for carpets.

We then wandered down to Macy's and saw the Shark for which I'd also seen good reviews. If the Eureka doesn't suck we'll start over with the Shark.

At least the two brands at the top of my list were the two mnetioned first. Thanks!
