I can't afford the vet bills that come with ownership so for now I'm a foster parent. If I should find myself in a more favorable financial situation I'll consider a permanent resident but for now I'm glad to provide a temporary alternative to a stressful kennel until someone adopts

Vet bills and pet food. I can't believe how much we spend on the animals! Right now I'm dealing with a paralized cat (the general consensus is that someone hit or kicked him really hard). Thankfully my vet likes me. She's only charging me for the shots, not the visits. I can't imagine what the costs would be Stateside.

I'm impressed that you foster dogs. It must be sad to see them go, though.
