Is there somewhere local where you can try on shorts?

Fit is so specific to each body. I have lots of pairs of tri shorts. I love the ones made by Sugoi, Oomph, and the Desoto men's/unisex ones. I have one by Shebeest that is fine, too. I hate the Desoto women's tri shorts (go figure!), the Zoot tri shorts, and Tyr is the worst.

Most brands offer more than one configuration - Desoto for instance seems to have higher waisted and lower waisted, long inseam or short inseam, etc. So you might pick a brand you like (where the fit/chamois feels great) and then pick the version that has the correct waist/inseam for you.
