I was pleased to find out about and visit a new bike shop in my area today. All of them are at least 30 miles from my house and this one is no different.

One place it is different is that it has a BIKE FIT SYSTEM!!! Yippeee!!!! I don't know what kind or whatever, but I can tell you I will be using it in the very near future.

And guess what else! They had a whole rack of bike SKORTS for women. Some even in my size, even though I'm far away from needing skorts. Most of the bikes they had were hybrids. Guess who they're catering to? WOMEN!? Miracles never cease.

Guess what else! They had EVERYTHING we were looking for--27" tubes, a new pump, the right chain lube. I'm in heaven.

Phat Tire in Bentonville, Arkansas (yes, home of Wal-Mart. In fact, it's right across the square from the Wal-Mart Musuem. Yes, there is a Wal-Mart Museum. And yes, Alice Walton is building a 30 million dollar art museum devoted to her extensive American art collection right there in Bentonville. Wal-Mart's not all bad).

I put the name of the shop in case there are any other little cycling orphans out in my neck of the woods.
