Ladies and Mr. Silver - the OKHT http://www.okht.org/ is just around the corner and I would encourage all who live in or around Kentucky to participate in this great cycling event. You have three routes (50, 72, 100 mile) to pick from on Saturday and a wonderful but hilly 55 mile route home on Sunday. The SAGs (don't miss the famous cookie stop on Sunday) are great and no one should walk away hungry. Lunch on Saturday is alway a delight. Breakfast with Chris Cakes is a real joy (hope you can catch those flying pancakes). You will travel some beautiful rural roads from Louisville to Bardstown and enjoy the company of some very friendly and warm cyclists from this area. I understand most of the hotel rooms are booked at this point but that does not leave you out for you can always camp out on the high school's baseball field or claim a piece of their gym floor.
I've not yet seen the jerseys for this year's event but I understand they are beautiful, one of the best.
Come out and play in beautiful Kentucky, you won't regret it.
