I've been having fun reading thru the back-posts on this thread. I love SnappyPix's quote from Sir Winston Chainwheel. I also like this one.
I didn't realize how competitive I am until I landed on BJ. How I would love to be able to say, "on your left" to PKQ. At one time I thought it was a possibility, but since then I've had 2 knee injuries which have really messed up the last 2 months. (my brother-in-law once referred to me as "the kind of person who knocks over floor lamps" - could it be that I'm accident prone? )Originally Posted by SnappyPix
I'm going to start riding again on Saturday. On weeks I'm not away I'll need to average 100 miles/week aka 15 miles/day if I'm going to get to Atlantic City this year. I still have a goal of first 1000 on BJ. There's absolutely no doubt that on-line competitiveness has me biking more than I would have otherwise. From some of the comments on this thread it seems I'm not alone in that.
