I detest elastic hems. I am pear shaped, and all it does is make the elastic edge immediately slide upwards and seek the smaller circumference- my waist! For me the elastic hems do exactly the OPPOSITE of keeping the shirt down...they make it zoom up to my waist and it is infuriating.
I'd like to add that while I do hate flapping jerseys, with hips/butt like mine, even without elastic...there is no flapping unless the jersey is all-around too big.
