with three tortoiseshells already, I think Ashgarth's personality-fitting-in problem is another reason for me not adopting more .

One of my most tempermental is a tortoiseshell

You know what though? The new one has really change the feline continuum. He is so mellow and HUGE (21.6 lbs), the others have stopped playing kitty games and are getting along. It all depends on the cat but sometimes an addition can make a positive difference.
