Headed out for a short run this lunchtime to see how my ribs were. Could feel them complaining a bit when running down the hill at the start though they stopped complaining once I got on the flat. After about 25 minutes they decided they'd had enough of the impact and it felt like all the muscles in my rib/chest area contracted which made breathing fun .

I did four miles but my footpod battery had died (note to self put spare batteries in kit bag) so at the time I didn't really know how fast I was travelling though it looks around 8:25 mm pace which is probably a little fast for someone with poorly ribs really particularly as I slowed down when they started hurting. So basically they are still sore, I've taken some ibuprofen now as I didn't this morning as I wanted a true picture of how they were. Looks like I will have to get up early and cycle into work tomorrow.

I'm hoping they are a bit better for Saturday as I am planning to get out for an exploratory trail run.
