I have graduated from completely destroying my legs on day one (last year) and needing all week to recover, to riding with a group every day (this year). We rode 5 out of 7 days (rode 10km for a coffe on the rest day) and I totalled 500 km. As you can see it was still rather chilly, warranting long dress.
I also found that my performance heavily depends on intake of milk coffee and a piece of cake during the cafe stop![]()
another improvement is that last year I had a flu with high fever the day we came back, this year I only have a sniffle.
