I understand that aspartame is a great ant killer.

In March, a paper was published showing that aspartame ingestion in rats caused numerous cancerous changes:

If you don't want to read the science - check out the last sentence (APM=aspartame

"The results of this mega-experiment indicate that APM is a multipotential carcinogenic agent, even at a daily dose of 20 mg/kg body weight, much less than the current acceptable daily intake. On the basis of these results, a reevaluation of the present guidelines on the use and consumption of APM is urgent and cannot be delayed."

Consider this:

Aspartame is made by Monsanto. Monsanto gives millions to fund re-election campaigns. Ever wonder why stevia, which is a natural sweetener the comes from a plant, isn't in our soft drinks, etc? Thank Monsanto. The above referenced paper was a result of lab work in Italy. I don't think that the U.S. would fund such a study.

BTW, Ethoxyquin, a common preservative in pet foods, is poison. http://physchem.ox.ac.uk/MSDS/ET/ethoxyquin.html That's why I make my dog's food.
