I've only returned to cycling (since my 20s) this march, so I'm too much of a newbie to have formulated any goals beyond hoping that I would continue to cycle consistently in spite of the fact that I was gaining weight pretty steadily (and DH who was riding less and eating more was losing steadily). Well, I kept at it, and I think I will hit 1000 miles within the month. I've also lost the 8 pounds I gained when I started plus 15 more. I don't think I want to get too hung up on weight loss or mileage, because I can become obsessive about these things
. I think I will just stick with the goal to ride consistently.
