My overall impression - not an uncomfortable pair of shorts, but I'm not in love either.

I wore them for my 27 mile "vacation" loop, about 1 hour 40 minutes. The shorts actually look okay on, even with that stitching. The design is in the right spots to make it slimming I think.

Mine sat a little closer to my belly button than on the model.

The fabric is vaguely rubbery, but not grossly so.

The length bothered me. They are probably three inches longer than my typical shorts and the grippers seem tight. I pulled the shorts up a bit probably a mile into the ride.

The chamois covers all the appropriate stuff and does not go down the inside of the leg. It feels thick to me. I also noticed that when I stood to climb, the chamois was rubbing the inside of my leg. I wanted to describe it as feeling like hard plastic, but hard is too strong of a word.

I'll try them on a longer ride, but I don't see them as double century shorts at this point.

I had a great ride, new personal best, by a lot. My riding seems to have moved on to the next level somehow and rather suddenly.
