I was riding fast down a fire road today and a (very) large weaned calf lept through the bushes and across the road right in front of me. I don't know what was more comical, the calf's face or my friends' behind me. They thought I was a goner. I was more concerned when his big long-horned mama ran out to see the commotion.

I wonder which would hurt more-Running over a dead kangaroo or running into a calf...
I almost ran over a dead roo a few months back....not something i suggest...
What's even freakier is having a roo pass you at 10pm on the trail & almost hitting it....

You crazy Aussies! 'Roos and kiwis and koalas and wombats and all kinds of crazy things. I guess you could treat a dead roo like a log and jump over it...squish.
Luckily for cc, kiwis are rare, nocturnal and live on the other side of the Tasman.![]()
Drink coffee and do stupid things faster with more energy.
Oops...sorry to misplace my fauna. (Now where are my gloves, I think I left them in my friend's truck.)
May be they smelled that burger on your breath!![]()
