    Thumbs up Otter Race Results

14th in Sea Otter Women's 50+ Cross Country 19 mile loop. The mud was horrible, with feet welded in, or out, had to choose. So I rode the last hour with one welded in, the other welded out...One shop tells me there are mud shedding pedals, another tells me none of them are much different than any others, its just something you live with in the Otter. Even though it rained the last hour I was out there, I'm going to do it again next year! The entire event was a blast!

That's excellent, Barbara! I raced Sea Otter XC as well. Got 7th in my age group 40-44. I recently changed to Crank Bros Egg Beater pedals and I had no problems with the mud (well besides the fact that it was actually sheep poop and smelled terrible).

    See you next year!

I'm jealous....you guys got to race Sea Otter! I'm not jealous about racing in the mud though. I saw a bunch of pictures from cycling news and it looked like a muddy sufferfest. Maybe I'll see you there next year. Are you guys doing any Norba Nationals?
    Just keep pedaling.

Sweet!!! Good job ladies! Imagine what your moms would have thought if you guys came home with all that mud on when you were younger.
