Hey Ladies, I am traveling to Houston on Monday the 13th to spend some time with my daughter, I will be in town until the 24th then we are traveling to Wichita Falls for the HH100.
I would love to meet up with anyone who lives in or around the area for rides. My daughter works so I will have plenty of free time and can meet up any time or place.

What area of town will you be in? Monday nights there is a group that does loops at memorial park and I'll be there. I also am going to try out their Thursday ride but would be up for rides in between. http://www.meetup.com/Come-Ride-With-Us-Meetup-Group/

I ride out from the Fulshear park and ride on tuesdays at 7:00 Am for about 50 miles at about 15 mph. Also ride out from either Katy High school or fulshear park and irde Sundays at 7:30 Am for 30-45 miles at 16-17 mph. You would be most welcome!

@ barrelgal, My daughter lives in the University area, I don't think I could meet up the first monday since it will be an 10.5 hour drive for me that day, But I am happy to meet you anytime. Do you ride in the mornings?

@ marni, Tuesday the 14th I have to run an errand for Kris, but am free anytime after that both distance and mph sound good.
I currently ride 20 miles a day Sun-Fri and then pickup a longer ride on Sat. My average is 17-18mph when it's just me.

I'm looking forward to meeting both of you.

Ladies, in an abundance of caution (and arguably a bit of paranoia), I'd be careful about giving out specific times and dates that you plan to ride and from where on a public forum, especially if you ride alone. Goodness knows who trolls TE.
Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.

We just got back from a non-bike week in Houston visiting family. My hat is off to those of you who ride there in the summer. Wow. The temperatures aren't that much worse than home, but somehow the humidity seems MUCH worse (even though home is already humid).

I just found out I have to be out of Houston 15 August- 25 August. Only possibility is Tuesday the 14. Because of the heat we roll at 7:00 Am either from cinco ranch in katy or Fulshear Park n ride. We average 16 mph so we may be a bit slow for you, but your legs are probably younger than ours.

If you think something will work, let me know.

Hey marni, sorry I will miss you this trip, I have an errand I have to take care of for my daughter on Tuesday morning so I can't make that ride.
Maybe we can meet up on my next trip.
    Thanks for the invite
