    Hi Melinda,

Congratulations on your bike and the goals you have set for yourself!! There are some other very inspiring ladies on this forum who have dealt with the same issues. One of them is Mary9761. I'm not very good at computers so I don't know how to directly provide a link to specific posts, but Mary posted an article she wrote for a publication which you must read. Look for a thread entitled "Asked to write an Article", dated 11/8/05. You are going to find tons of support on this board!!

Thanks for sharing and I also wish you success. I have been really impressed at how supportive everyone is of each other on these boards.

Here is the link to the thread about Mary's articles (Thanks for mentioning it, Nina, I hadn't seen it before):

Mary and Irulan inspired me to try to make my own cycling clothes. Check out those threads if you have the time too.

    Hot old gal!!

Yep, my hubby's a hottie for sure! He is supportive of my getting back into biking (poor guy had to take off and put on my saddles three times until i decided which I liked...then jogged alongside me in case I fell over trying to ride my new bike. He also has raised/lowered the saddle/stem several times and put my basket off and on numerous time...what a doll!

Can you believe I am a "newlywed" of five years and found him online? God smiled on me that day and we've been married for five adventurous years and he's so supportive!

Nina, Miffy, Nanci all of you, are amazing women and riders who set a great example for me... I love you all!

THANKS FOR ALL THE GOOD WORDS AND LINKS!!!

My DH's head is going to be so big he won't fit through the RV door after all those "hottie" comments!! Thanks you guys..No, we don't think we look like "oldies but goodies" either, but then it all depends on what's between your ears - for us, we both feel like we are 23 and trapped in somebody else's bodies!!!

I am looking so forward to meeting some of you at the Little Red Riding Hood ride up in Wellsville this year. I appreciate all the kind words, solid support and love from all you AMAZING WOMEN BIKERS!!!!

    Love to you all, Melinda

    Go Girl!

Good for you sweetheart. You have an amazing outlook. My mom always said to me, you can cry about life, or laugh about it, and looks like you're choosing to laugh!!! Your blog made me laugh! And yes, the hubby is a cutie and a keeper!
