Pip - (((((Warm hugs))))) I've just recently lost my 18 year old blue Burmese girl so I can identify with your pain and loss although every family and cat relationship is different.

We now have a little lilac kitten and she has done wonders for healing our pain. I still think about Sapphire every day - she was a cat in a million - but our new little CJ is such an affectionate and funny addition to our family. So I think you are doing the right thing in getting your lilac furbaby.

And our cream Burmese boy loves the new kitten too - at least he does when the kitten is not biting his ears, neck or tail. When she is sleepy they cuddle together and he snuggles into her and purrs.
