Awesome! I was *this close* to going to a couple of my local shops to try one of these out when my frugal side took over again. They are so pretty. I prefer the bar end shifters...who knows, maybe I'll get one yet. I DO have a milestone birthday this year...

Congratulations! Get a good lock, 'cause that is one heck of a pretty bike. Did you sell the Fridays yet?

Maybe get a beater resto-project as well.

Worked well for me in rough areas so far.

Also, go ahead and scrape the logos off your Surly if you're worried about theft. The head-badge too. You could get a hand made head-badge to replace it.

And always, carry a big lock. Something with a small-shackle as long-shackle gives more pry-bar room for thieves. I lock all my bikes (beater or not) with two locks. Yup. Over cautious, much? Maybe.

I got the Tigr Lock for the bike. Won't be here for a few months, but I'm happy with it. I'll probably use that and a U-lock when it's out of my sight or at the beach. It's awesome!
