Can't you just get a new stem to accommodate the larger clamp? That's what I just did on my Giant, when I swapped out my old handlebars (26mm clamp) with the FSA Wings.

I'm hoping the fabulous TE folks will have some suggestions:
I have these bars on 2 of my bikes.
Specs are an 80mm reach and a 125mm drop, in a 40 mm width.
I have "traditional" drop bars on my Bike Friday. I want to get something as close a possible to the Wing Pros that are on my other bikes - but it has to be a 26mm clamp to work on the bike and the bars I like only come in a 31.6mm clamp.
I've looked at the Salsa Moto Ace Short and Shallow - and they are good on the reach, but have about 20 mm more drop. Is there anything you know of that would be closer?
ETA: Probably obvious, but I'm looking for aluminum bars - carbon can't be split.

Ritchey Biomax bars have a very shallow drop (~125-130, depending on which site you believe)and are available in 26.0.

Not sure what your stem is, if it is threadless you can replace with a 31.8 but don't think there is a quill type stem in that size.

Bontrager makes a bar with a 125 mm drop for a 26.0 clamp.
Becky, I don't know that Ritchey is making the Biomax anymore for a 26.0 clamp size. The only Biomax I could find on their website was the Pro--which requires a 31.8 clamp. Perhaps the standard Biomax is still available, however.

Here is a picture of it. It's a Bike Friday proprietary stem, and can't really be replaced by anything. One of the (few) disadvantages of a Bike Friday...

Cool. Admittedly, I only bothered to look at Amazon (which said they were out of stock).
It's too bad Ritchey discontinued it though, as non-oversized bars are getting harder to find. Deda has stopped making my bar of choice (Deda 4 Girls), but I have two sets of them, so I hope to be covered for a long while.

Indy, I hear ya there! Finding a bar for my classic quill stem bike was a ridiculous effort, and it's only going to get worse....![]()
Thanks to everyone - I will call the folks at Bike Friday and see which bars they can get (since they've said they'll order them and split them before sending them to me).
Am still open if others have ideas![]()
It is interesting to me why components change for no reason that seems apparent to me.
