Seatpost with a lot of setback???

I need 31.6 diameter and would really like micro-adjustable tilt. The seatpost I have is the one that came stock on my Synapse and looks to have about 25 mm setback. Is there a seatpost that has more???

That one only comes in 27.2. But thanks anyway...

Easton or Thomson come to mind, but I don't know the exact amount of setback.

I'm not sure you'll like the price, but FSA's K-Force Light SB32 seatpost offers 32mm of setback and has a two-bolt clamp.

Here is one with 30 mm offset.

Here is one with 32 mm offset.

Both carbon. I went through this when I was looking at posts for my Lynskey. Performance did have a cheap aluminum one, but they don't have it listed anymore (that's what I have because I didn't want carbon). There are also lots of folks who make custom seat posts up to 35mm setback under warranty/more outside of warranty.

I thought I was choking on the price of the saddle.

    Thanks. I think.

"These polished two bolt seat posts have a generous 30.2mm of setback..." I realize you were looking for even more, but these are pretty close, and the price is good and the quality is excellent.

I have those and love them. Sadly, though - the diameter is wrong for my Lynskey and for Oakleaf's bike....

I had a Thomson with a fair bit of setback and all the features you mention, not sure how much setback though. It was aluminum and not super expensive, maybe $50?

The "bent" Thomson seatposts have only 16mm of setback.

How much setback are you looking for? SR Sakae used to make a seatpost with a fairly large setback. They come up on ebay quite often. They came in various sizes. This one in the link below is a 25.4. I would think you could easily find a shim for this.

Actually come to think of it, you could shim the VO seatpost also.

I haven't actually put a plumb line on the one I have, and Cannondale doesn't give a spec, but just sticking a ruler on it looks like about 25 mm setback. So in the range of 30 mm would be good.

I'll probably wind up with that FSA, but I need a few days to get my head around the price.

What's everyone's experience with shimming, especially with a carbon frame? Would that cause problems?

No personal experience - but we came really close to try to avoid custom/the performance one that's not made now. Talked to a LOT of mechanics about it - the framebuilders were OK with it - the mechanics universally thought it was a terrible idea and we would have lots of issues with it. I'm not tiny, and so do stress seatposts more - but I got the idea that it hadn't worked well for anyone plus it looks funny to me.....

I've not had any experience shimming carbon. I only ride steel, so that's a good question.
