    Riding with the guys

I love cycling, I really do but some days..... I really wish there could be a bit less testosterone in the mix. Some MAMILs are so easily offended by a woman rider who is stronger than they are. Geez

You go girl!!! Don't let those silly male egos rain on your parade!!
Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.

hehe, sounds like fun. I asked an ex pro once (trackie, road) whether she used to get fed up with it and drag them off at the lights 'just cos she could' and she giggled and said yes.

I always ride in groups with mostly guys. Some of the boys hate to get chicked but only the ones that have problems with their own ego Just keep riding your bike with the boys and show them how is done

    Show them who's boss!

On my commute home one day last week I was riding at the lake and caught up to a guy on his really fast carbon tri bike. When I was about to pass him, he kind of panicked and turned his after burners on because I guess there was no way he was going to let a middle-aged woman on a steel commuter bike with giant pannier bags pass him. As he pulled away he kept looking over his shoulder to see where I was. I just giggled inside and kept my current pace. I passed him about 6 miles later, when I'm pretty sure he just ran out of juice trying to out-ride me. Made me laugh (inside, of course).
Is it bad that I *enjoy* making them sweat sometimes?

I dunno if any of you notice this or not but it seems when I'm on training rides a lot of time guys will keep getting in front of me at stops and then I have to keep going around them. It's really annoying because a lot of times I end up in the back of the group because they keep squeezing in front of me each time we stop. Then I finally get tired of being in the back and pass them when I get the opportunity and the whole thing starts again. Why is it just so hard stay relatively in the same order when we stop??? I mean the only reason I pass them is bc they ride slower than me, inevitably they slow WAY down on hills and usually that's when I end up passing them. It just seems so goofy.
