I start bike/commuting tomorrow (hooray spring). I've got my bike tuned up, new helmet, messenger bag ready with lunch bag/knitting/work stuff, water bottle, lock. What have I forgotten?

    a plan B?

if you have a flat or it's pouring rain or something, a plan to fix it/call home/take a bus/muddle through is handy to have in the back of your mind. Otheriwse you sound set!

Plan B is the train I will be using for part of the commute. Changed the tubes last night. I'm out of practice, but need to start somewhere.

Every now and then I'll forget my undies.

And of course, I forget all the normal stuff that I forget sometimes when I drive my car.

This. I keep an emergency pair with my bike commuting toiletries at the office.

Yea, change of clohtes especially undies tucked somewhere... set up the things and stuff so it's a routine just like the silly car routine is/was.

So glad to know I'm not the only one who has forgotten undies!

Happily, I work on a college campus with a bookstore. No undies but I have a lovely collection of attire from days I rode in a little too fast and forgot stuff to change into...
