Thanks for the link Badger. Cool. And yes, a much happier empty nest outcome than Hornby Island.

Thanks for the video link, Badger! Amazing how easy it is to become attached to a baby bird.

if you go to the hummingbird webcam site, they have it focused on another nest, apparently she was seen tending to the nest and another clutch can be expected soon! she's a baby-cranking mama!
Gosh, you are right! She's almost finished that nest! I glanced at the chat and apparently another bird stole some material from her nest.
I'm not sure if I can handle online eagles and hummingbirds and along with three real-life hawk nests.
Phoebe laid an egg this morning.
the camera angle is *just* out of sight of the nest so it's hard to see whether there's one or not. she was wiggling around this morning a lot so I was joking to my co-worker that she's probably cranking one out. Maybe I was right!![]()
Yep, there are eggs in the nest.
I wanna see! I wanna see! Dang it! I get home too late to see anything. It's always dark.![]()

it hasn't even been a week and she's already laid an egg!! yeesh, poor little baby machine!
Oh cool! We've been enjoying a hummingbird next right at eye level in our yard, too. I don't have the skills to do the webcam thing tho!

That's really neat! She sitting on the eggs as I watch. She looks quite big in the screen, but then I look at the buds on the rose bush and realize just how tiny she & the nest are.
