Well, I'm going to have to lay off the microbrews and winter ales for awhile. They're lovely but oh so high in calories/carbs. I finally got on the scale for the first time since before the holidays, and I've gained 4 lbs. I weigh the most that I've weighed in 9 years. So, back to Miller Lite for awhile.

Darn Emily I was going to suggest a beer you might be able to find. I had a beer by Magic Hat brewery out of Vermont it is Beer #9 - Not Quite Pale Ale. We bought some for our beer loving friends and we all detected a citrus taste almost like when you have a Blue Moon and they put an orange slice in it. But it wasn't necessarily oranges we tasted. My friend used to homebrew and thought maybe it was the type of hops they used? Anyway it was a nice smooth beer.

At the end of it all, my fave is always Guinness on tap. Mother's milk, I tell ya.

    However...

Stupid expensive, but you get etched glass on the bottle. Nice to acknowledge when you are tossing them in the recycling bin Yummy and flavorful for an IPA...seems to be a bit spicy in addition to the hops.
What she said. Super good stuff there.

Seems like the TE ladies have excellent taste in beer. It's nice to see the home brewing families sprinkled in there, too.

Awww, thanks Amanda! I'll be able to look for it eventually. I've still got three six-packs of various brews my DH got me for Christmas in the fridge, though, so it may be awhile before I'm ready for more. In the meantime until I lose the weight, it's Miller Lite time for me. Boriiiiiing.
