Question newbie trying to figure out accessories

    hi,

i just got on a bike for the first time in 20 years a few weeks ago. still a little nervous, but at least i'm managing to stay upright! which is more than i can say when i tried out my frist bike at the bike shop (soooo embarrassing).

anyway, i bought a specialized ariel with the ultimate goal of commuting to work. i need to get a rack and probably fenders. could anyone help me figure out how i go about finding what is compatible with my bike? i tried googling to see if there was a list out there, but no go. the specs for the bike are greek to me.

    thanks!

Hi! Welcome to TE. Does your local bike shop (LBS) sell racks? I like going to LBS because they tend to install them for free with the purchase of the rack.

Yes, go to the shop if they sell racks. They can help.

Go to your shop. Putting a rack on a smaller bike can sometimes (not always!) be a minor challenge, and is one of those things best solved in person, where measurements can be taken and options discussed.
