Oh Martinkap! What a sexy ride!!! How exciting! What kind of gearing is on your bike and have you ridden it yet? Everyone here are such enablers!

You aren't going to believe this but DH and I went bike shopping today for tri bikes. I test rode a Kestrel Talon, Cervelo P1 and a Quintana Roo CD.01---the only 3 in the area in my size---and the sexiness and coolness was just too tempting and I bought one too!!! I got the Quintana Roo and I'm not lying when I say that it scares the hell out of me when I get it going. I feel like my a** is strapped to a rocket! It's going to take me a while to get used to it but man is it cool! I sold my Trek Pilot yesterday so I had that as seed money and they shot me a heck of a deal. I kept telling myself that it was more bike than I needed for my ability but, what the heck, you only go around once, right? We are doing more shopping tomorrow for DH. What a weekend.

Pictures are coming. The battery is dead in the camera.

Thanks. Here's a pic. I had them wrap it with lime green bar tape to match the bike. She's sweet. Just hope I can learn to ride her!

I see you have the insulated aero bottle - I really want one of those. That'll be one of my next purchases for Lucy.

Very pretty. I love the color. Easy to find in transition.

    Ride Report

I must confess that I was having second thoughts about this bike. I had decided to hold off buying a bike during the test ride but somehow found myself saying, "I'll take it" when I returned to the dealer. I kept looking at it sitting in my dining room thinking that I just didn't need this bike. I was intimidated by it. I was even contemplating calling the dealer to see if they would take it back because I had made an impulsive decision. But before I did that, I took it for a ride this morning........

OMG! This bike is freakin' awesome!!!! It took me about 2 miles to figure out how to ride it in a straight line and about 4 miles to get the nerve to get in the aero bars. At mile 6, I was in the big ring doing 22 mph in the flats. What a rush! I was grinning from ear to ear. Ain't no way this is going back! Luna and Salsa are jealous but there are a time and place to ride them. I love them and love this one too. Man, I'm having fun!
