    Clean chain and "new" tube

I'm such a nerd. My dh bought one of those chain cleaning things and my chain is so clean now. This morning my back tire was flat so dh showed me how to fix it. He put an old tube, that he had patched, on and I was good to go. It feels so good to have a clean chain and know that I can (maybe) fix my own tire should I get another flat. Can you tell I am still new to all this.

We all feel that way! Nothing "nerdy" or "newbie" about it!

Being able to take care of our bikes on our own is part of the fun of it all!

Patching tubes is my favorite garage job.

Being able to do simple repairs and adjustments makes me so happy.

I'm amazed at how many people don't even try to learn.

My favorite is that 'pitch me over the handlebar' new brake feeling.

    I'm with ya!

It's amazing how a little chain lube makes things work so well. Relubed after a rainy ride home on the roof and wow! He's so nice and quiet!
