I think your best bet would be picking a location then searching the web. Keep in mind, they often have them in conjunction with some of the bigger regional races (well... we have a couple like that here). Might want to check with some charities as well (like the Tour de Cure, there are events all over).
I also think USA Cycling has a list of all of the GranFondos you can check out.

List of all century rides in the US?

Anyone know of a website that has this? I have several friends all over the US who bike and we've talked about finding a century next year that we could all meet at. Most of us are from the Midwest or Eastern half of the US, so something within reasonable driving distance would be extra cool.
