Well, If it would JUST STOP RAINING BUCKETS for a couple of days,

whatever you do.. don't send it down here! the weather is already predicting 3 days of rain (and it changes constantly... first it was 2 days.. then the next time i looked it was 3 )

i have the whole week off plus next tuesday... so i want NICE weather! i cut my ride short today cuz i left without a jacket and it just got colder and colder! was going to come home and get my jacket.. but once i was home i didn't want to leave again........

I tried to do my part, guys, by going on a ride in December, for the first time ever. I am 99 miles short of my goal, which s****. I could have easily reached the 2500 mile mark, with a bit more motivation, but after I came back from my cycling trip to Europe, I slacked off a bit. I think I was around #9 or 10 for most of the season (I know I can't compete with the warm weather people) and now I am barely in the top 20.

OK the blowing thing must have worked because there is going to be a break in the rain and wind tomorrow up my way (at least that is what the weather site is saying). I can cope with the rain but hate that wind so Ive organized a sitter for the boys and Im heading out. Could be my last chance before the new year if that wind starts up again. The weather site is predicting some nasty stuff turning up this weekend ----Hmm Happy Stormy New Year I guess.

I've put up our 2006 goal on BikeJournal - 200,000 for 2006! Those of you not under snow or water, we're counting on those pedalling legs! The rest of us are holding our breath for "spring-i-er weather" (or drier weather for you Cal gals).

"spring-i-er weather"??? it was 60 here yesterday and upper 50s until Sat when it's going to be in the 60s again. you mean....spring isn't here yet??

wish I could say "yes" but I did the requisite "visit the fam for the hols". When I got home all I wanted to do was be a couch potato and remember why I moved 1500 miles Away from them! I was hoping to do a metric Saturday but now I have to crew for my hot air balloon so it looks like a long ride is out.

and - by the way - it's 57 here right now! (yeah, I suck!)
