2 bikes in the truck, but only 1 front wheel.
I suppose 10 - 15% of the responsibility lies with me. I was pumping up his tires and had the stem blow out. I changed his tube and left the front wheel by his bike, instead of on his bike. My thinking, it has to come off to go in the truck, so why put it back on?
It was a lovely drive over to the base of Diablo and back.

I've done that to myself...not once but twice. Luckily, no one was around to know....except maybe the construction guys working on the house across the street who saw me hoist my bike onto the roof rack, secure it, hop in, and drive off without the wheel.
Of course the same guys watched me pull up, hop out, and snatch my lonely wheel before scurrying back into the car.
Doesn't he know how to do a wheelie?
