I think there is clear improvement!

Now I will post my weight....159.4. Not happy or sure why that is. I am going to see my nutritionist today, so I guess she can help me figure out where those 4 pounds came from. I am predicting that it is because of my period + a tapering week before the race + a recover week after the race. I hope it is water weight anyway....sure feels like a lot of water!!!

Thank you for letting me post my good with my bad. It helps me be a little less obsessive about the bad!

    Good luck everyone!

145.2 I feel like I'm not eating anything but as I am not doing anything other than walking, I guess that's OK. I see my neurologist in 2 weeks maybe then I can start some PT.

UGH - the flooding of my basement and subsequent damage and then reconstruction, has not been good for my eating or my working out. Have to get serious. And find my bike in the storage of crap that has been moved around in my basement.

Kacie - wow, great improvement! And you must be tall - you look much smaller than I would at 159 lbs. I think you look great!

I could not weigh today as I had to leave home before there was any daylight and I didn't want to wake my huband by turning on the light (our scale is in our bedroom). I'll weigh in tomorrow morning instead.

    150 lbs.

    <rant>

I met up with sport nutritionist the first time this week. Interesting insights - I am trying to follow her eating schedule now.

Thanks to all the education Triskie has done on here, I also had an OGTT test done and waiting for the results together with my thyriod TSH and free T3 and free T4 done. My Anti-TP are through the roof.

In midst of this, I am running/biking my FIRST duathlon on Sunday. The first .3 of mile of run/bike/run is up the hill (4% incline). It is going to be tough but I am looking forward to it.

I guess, what I am trying to say in this long rant is: I am participating in the 'Weight loss challenges' for more than a year and half. I lost 20 lbs, I became aware of what I eat and how it affects me. I learned that my 'hating' relationship with sugar and carbs is not just me trying to be weird but probably is a consequence of my real issues (again, thanks TRISKIE). You guys taught me so much about my Hashimoto disease, about nutrition and metabolic processes that I (for the first time in my life) feel in control of my body.

I am 38 years old and feel in the best shape in my life. 2 years ago I was 20 lbs more. 1 year ago I had an ovarian cancer surgery. In 2 days, I am running/biking my first duathlon. Even though I am going to finish below the 50% percentile, in my mind, I am already a winner.

    THANK YOU ALL!

Lime--I totally love what a tough chick you look like in your after. You really look amazing!

G--I am pretty tall right at 5'8". That means that I can weigh more, but that no one notices if I loose weight! On the flip side of that, I have been at 155 for a month or so now, and I randomly went up to 159 in the past two weeks, but no one but me notices that either. It spreads out a little more.

Nice work with the nutritionist! I think that it helps so so much. I can't wait to see mine today so she can steer me in a better direction!

    162.4 Whoo!

I was worried because I went up briefly this week, but it apparently was period related and now I'm back on track.

Kaci - You can definately see it! You and are I the same height, and you're at my current goal weight. You look great!

Scale went in the wrong direction this week - had too much wine and cheese this weekend! Also - finishing up my honours thesis is consuming my life.. I need to start making exercise a priority! The warm spring weather also left us, so I haven't been riding. (Clearly I have many excuses )

    136. Hopefully things will improve in this coming week, and I won't need any excuses!

114.6 - I am on a little plateau here. I'm really hoping to see a drop again soon, since I was apparently holding onto water after doing a lot more miles during my spring break.
