they probably have one of those pads for you to sit on at the LBS. Your measurement of 11cm sounds really small. But if it's accurate, i think the B17 will be fine.

How does one get the outside sit bone measurements? I have my measurement from my last fitting (11cm), but KnottedYet has said that it is useful to have the outside sit bone measurement when one is considering the purchase of a saddle that we have not ridden before. I guess that I am having problems visualizing what this might be...is this something that I can measure myself?
I am headed tomorrow to a big sale at a LBS just to pick up a Brooks for the new bike- the price is good enough that I will risk not being able to return it - so I need to make sure that I have the right saddle as far as I can. My assumption is that the Brooks 17 Standard will work for me, but it seems good to look at my measurements a little closer.

That's exactly the reason that when I made my butt-print, I circled the indentations and kept the paper. I can measure both center-to-center and outside, and lay the paper over a saddle to see if it's in the ballpark.

It was an LBS fitter who made that measurement with one of those things you sit on. I have been toying with the idea of getting this new LBS re-do that just in case - for that seems pretty small to me as well...
Thanks!
