    I did it!!!!!!!

    Did my first unassisted pull up last night, chin totally over the bar. I almost did a second one, got my nose to the bar, but couldn't get any higher.

    I set a new jump rope record too, 281 jumps in a minute. I'm glad today is my rest day.

    Wow, Veronica! Good for you! I haven't tried to do a pull up in years. Don't think I could even get half-way.

    I think one of the things that really helped is sometimes my trainer would have me do "jumping pull ups". I would stand on a step and jump and pull myself up over the bar. I think it sort of trained my arms to do the motion.

    Thanks for the hint! I will try that- might have to wait for another trip to the gym as my pull up bar at home seems a little sketchy for that
