I got my tickets today! The website is filled with very cool bike builders (although not Luna Cycles, unfortunately).

I'm really looking forward to the event!

Which day(s) are you going, Tulip? I'm definitely coming down for it. We should get a TE carpool together.

I'm going on Saturday, and if it's really good, I'll go on Sunday, too. One of my brothers, his daughter (who is 13 and a great rider) and a buddy are coming from NC.

I don't know if they are expecting to sell out. I doubt it. My ticket number is 76, so I'm guessing that I'm only the 76th person who's ordered tickets. The convention center is very large. I bet you would be able to buy tickets at the door for anyone who decides to come down the last minute.

If you come by Amtrak, be sure to go to the Main Street Station, not Staples Mill. It's a bit of a hilly hike, but certainly walkable. The only problem is that there are not that many trains that come to the Main Street Station, so it might not work out for you.

Oh that hill, how I used to walk it multiple times daily lugging text books and my 8 lb laptop. How I love my 2.5 lb netbook now that I don't walk.

The problem with the trains that come into main street station is that the train has to slow down so much that it seems to add at least 30 mins to the trip. It's been years since I've done it.

It should be possible to catch one of the buses over to the convention center if someone doesn't want to walk.

If I go, I'll probably drive down, but I'd want to stay longer to hang out with friends down in Richmond.
