I love Hanukkah because it starts off with one little candle, and by the end you could set the world on fire. (or at least the curtains).
About 10 years ago, my daughter was a 5th grader at the Jewish Community Center School, and we celebrated Hanukkah exuberantly. At about 6th candle, we met my folks at a resort in Mazatlan, and took the menorah, candles, and dreidel with us.
The menorah had a pretty much Pier 1 Imports-Made in India look to it, and the candles were WAY too close together. As we dreideled for peanuts, the Mazatlan breeze tickled the candles in a way that they threatened to join together into one gigantic torch.
Is this what people mean when they say "on fire for the Lord?!"
