Yeah, let's not forget about our european friends like lph. Perhaps when Maidei moves on to North America, two or three of our TE'ers (maybe Shootingstar, Indogoiis, Trek420, sorry guys!) could map out a general route so no one is left out. This could be by state or region like indigoiis has already done with the NE. It would be up to the individual areas to finalize a specific route.

CC, Maidei is so cute and I absolutely love that she has a twin. Oxfam is such a great organization.

    Hi Max (and CC)

Sorry - been offline for a few days up at the Noosa triathlon. I'm in Brisbane and I'm in for sure.

Calling all Brisbane-ites and those in surrounding locales (like the coasts)! We don't want to miss any of you with this. Let us know where you are and we'll try to sort out the best way for us to pass Maidei around this area and show her a good time.

Well, for the NW coast folks, it might take awhile before it reaches us. Probably after Christmas or later. So yea, will help coordinate here (at least in Vancouver area.) if no one else locally wants to. (there's some great folks here...plus am wondering about Vancouver island..complicated planning.)

Or are we supposed to wave Maidei around here for a pic, at the Winter Olympics in Feb. 2010? That would be a serious challenge...weatherwise, crowdwise, etc. Gosh, a real epic portion of the journey.

It's ok. Just kiddin'. Maidei is gonna experience lots elsewhere.

    thought

    I have another thought..

1-Whilst on the journey, don't take pics of yourself with Maidei. See if you can get a pic of her in front of a local icon or something like that. I think it's safer for all of us & we get to see cool areas around the world.

2-If you can, place a postcard in the envelope that i'll be including in the package. Susan O will need a large wall for all the postacards me think...

3-Is someone out there really crafty? If so, can we make a small TE bike jersey for our little travelling person? A flag or something?

    ?

I sew and do machine embroidery. How big is Maidei? I can make her a jersey. I'll get her picture in front of the St. Louis Arch and crossing the Mississippi River!

    small

About the length of a mid sized paperback book but very thin and squishy..

    Does that make sense?

    Sure does........I'll get to work

Would a 4" long jersey be about the right size? Don't worry Maidei......I won't put elastic in the bottom.
