Since I hear it's the most common cycling injury, or up there somewhere, I'm betting some of you have been where I am.
Labor day weekend I had a crash and broke my right wrist, had surgery for a plate to be put in, and am hopefully getting the cast off next week, just shy of 2 months after the break.
I've been riding my bike hands free on a trainer in my living room to keep things going and plan to get my hand/wrist back in action by practicing shifting/braking inside and stationary until I feel really comfortable with my ability to do what I need to do outside. Also had bad cartilage damage in my thumb that will be fun to work with.
I'm just wondering what others have experienced in this phase of the healing process, any good stories/words of wisdom? I should be doing PT starting soon after cast removal.

Thanks!
