    The 1st Annual Pig Pedal

    To disable ads, please log-in.

My police department is organizing the first annual Pig Pedal (named by yours truly) Police Bike race to benefit the Alliance for Children. I am looking for sponsors/donors/vendors whatever to donate jerseys/t-shirts/socks with the Pig Pedal logo. Problem is, I don't have a pig pedal logo. Any of you artsy types care to sketch out a pig pedal logo? It is, of course, cops only, other departments will send teams. Hard to ask anyone to donate anything when I don't have anything to show. I am just a cop, I can barely draw a crime scene.
I would happily send a pig pedal t-shirt to whomever helps me out.
It is a race, but everyone rides mtbs. And wears uniforms. And guns. The jerseys we will give as prizes.

Great idea! Down here in Miami we have the Tour de Force. It a 150 mile two day ride with sponsors and police escorts through every county. Huge fund raiser. I wish I could help with the drawing, but me... not so artsy. If you need any ideas for the ride I have a contact with our PD(Miami-Dade) that may be able to help. Let me know.

How about bullet-proof vests? Oh, and are your uniforms long pants only, or can you wear shorts?

I can just see a svelte piggy with a badge and gun riding a Mtb. "Pig pedal", that's hysterical!

    Good luck.

    And we want pictures!

Hey where in Texas and when is the ride? I could try to convince our Campus Police to form a team, train, and participate in the race!

We wear kevlar vests on patrol while on the bikes (always, bike, horse, or car). I hate it. It is heavy, hot, and the dang thing smells like a sweat sock.
But if it will stop a bullet, I am all about it. I wear shorts from May till October. We have winter riding pants. For the race, the team can wear their bike uniform.

I think "ride it like you stole it" would be a great slogan for the Pig Pedal Real police humor, lol. Or maybe put it on the made up trophy for the winners?? Or should that be weiners?!

    Tap into logo designers

A company I know used this recently to get a logo designed. Its quick and you name your price up front so if you say the winning entry gets a $20 t-shirt, that's what they get.
