    July 26th Rides (Sunday)

I got up at 6:45am and intended to go for an early morning ride but it was chillier outside than I had anticipated and I got caught up in the Tour de France for thirty minutes....

I got in 15 miles on my usual route I love riding my new bike It's terrific!

I did get honked at by a big white van.... It doesn't fluster me as much as it has in the past. I think they were honking because I swerved a little bit when I was turning downhill after the railroad tracks (something did not feel right so I looked down at my cassette...and swerved a little...). But it also could have been that I slowed down considerably before passing over the railroad tracks... Oh well. Since they waited for me at the intersection, they could have pulled ahead of me before that point. Anyway, I didn't let it ruin my ride

There were many ominous clouds floating in the sky and although I felt a few raindrops, no rain

Rode in my first sprint triathlon. I did the bike portion on a female relay team. It was tons of fun and my team took first place in our division. It was a milestone day for me because I never would have believed I could do it two years ago. I saw some amazing athletes that were truly inspiring -especially the 89 year old man who completed the triathlon -his 114th!
