Add Mackinaw Island to cycling dream vacations!

It's in the book, "100 things to see before you die." If you aren't familiar, Mackinaw Island in Michigan has no motorized vehicles--only horses and bicycles. There's an 8 mile loop around the island along with lots of other "touristy" things to do. I rented a bicycle and did one loop, lunch at the pub, then a second loop on my one-speed beach cruiser. Highly suggest it!

Yes, that is a very good time! Just make sure if you rent a bike on the island that the tires have air...

Oh neat! My dad took me there when I was about 13! I have pictures somewhere of me on that path with my braces and pink and purple bike and giant foam Bell helmet.
