I'm going crazy thinking about this.
I don't have rollers but I'm thinking about a 4-km loop around the highest point in Vancouver (little mountain in Queen Elizabeth Park) which involves a bit over 250 feet of climbing with every loop. That should cut the guilt of doing it on the road instead of on rollers. It would mean doing 40 loops of that.
There is a fancy restaurant at the top and with some luck I could get them to participate, collecting donations from people who get their car valet-parked.
I might also try to recruit a few more local cyclists. At the very least I should be able to twist my husband's arm. And there are always the 25-mile (10 loops) or 50-mile (20 loops) options for less ambitious folks.
I don't have a lot of time with the end of my Ph.D. being near, but I think I could pull this one.
Others with ideas? Wanting to come ride the Little Mountain Century with me?![]()
