5 miles today after my regular Sunday swim lessons. Pace was relaxed ~11min/mile. I'm actually starting to like these brick days. I need to start doing some short runs on Saturdays (1-2 miles) after my cycling workouts to retrain my legs for transitions.
This week, I'm officially starting the half marathon training program I got off of Runners World. It's a 3 day a week program for the first 6-7 weeks, which is really all I have time for. Looks like I'll be in the gym for one of those 3 workouts, so that I can do the speedwork at the prescribed pace. I'm interested to see how well I'll take to such a structured run program. Up until now, my workouts have just been time-based, at my own pace.
